Fibroblast Plasma is a non-surgical skin tightening method used without a knife.

Our master esthetician uses an electric handheld device called a Plasma Fibroblast Pen that discharges ionized gas, called plasma, to the skin, singeing the surface and tightening the underlying tissue. Skin perceives the thermal energy on the epidermis (a paper thin layer) as an injury and rushes to produce new collagen and deploy healing growth factors.

A fibroblast is a type of the most common cells of connective tissue in the body and they are the only cells that can make collagen.

Most fibroblasts are inactive and will not produce collagen unless they are specifically re-activated by a wound healing process or inflammatory response.

The heat from the plasma also stimulates fibroblasts to produce new collagen and generates elastin fibers which continue to proliferate for the next 8 weeks.

After treatment the skin begins to plump up over time as the new collagen matrix is being re-built. Also referred to as Soft Surgery because the treatment can lift and tighten skin similar to a surgical face lift, neck lift, and eyelid lifts.
